Carillon Composition
Variations op `Ic arm haesken' . . . . . P Bourgois
Belgian folk song, `Me, poor little hare'
Lied-the hare's happy birthplace, at home idyllic.
Menuet-the young happy-go-lucky hare frolics without a care.
Scherzando-a hare of `good birth', elegant, in the courting mode.
Adagio-contemplation; moulting time; nature can be hard. He has lost a great number of relatives-sobering thought.
Finale-successful in life, hare strides confidently into the open field
. . . and has to run for his life. Hare pie will be for tomorrow!
